Fast and Furious Roman Funny Lines Fast and Furious Roman
The long-running Fast & Furious franchise has changed significantly over the years since its first movie in 2001. However, the viewers have always counted on the characters to deliver iconic quotes. Although the saga evolved from its original car-racing premise to a high-tech spy thriller, the funny moments and witty lines remain consistent.
Almost all the characters have contributed clever yet bizarre lines that bring joy to the action-filled scenes. Their different personalities and approaches provide audiences with an array of memorable moments. While the characters' stunts get more exaggerated with each movie, weird quotes have been present from the very beginning.
10 Brian: "So, Dunn, Looks Like We're Gonna Be Partners, Bro. Could You Tell Me Right Quick What Would Be A Better Motor For My Skyline, A Gallo 12 Or A Gallo 24?"
Brian O'Conner isn't content with his prospective partner who is supposed to race against experts in 2 Fast 2 Furious. To point out Dunn's inability to go undercover, he asks him a question anyone suitable for the job should answer. Dunn fails to realize it was a trick and that Brian was referencing the pizza place labeled on Dunn's drink which doesn't sell motors. It's a hilarious moment, but it makes fans wonder if it was a stretch to even offer someone as unqualified as Dunn.
9 Monica: "You Might Wanna Keep Your Eyes On The Road, Playboy."
In this scene in 2 Fast 2 Furious, Brian takes the simple warning given by Monica Fuentes to pay attention to the road as a challenge. Brian speeds up over 100mph while keeping his eyes glued to her.
This scene is arguably one of the most notable in the entire Fast & Furious franchise. While the quote seems mundane, paired with the scene, it highlights how events in the series can get out of hand quickly, resulting in the over-the-top action present throughout the series.
8 Sean: "You're Like The Justin Timberlake of Japan, Right?"
The saga is known for its characters' one-liners, especially those directed against their competitors. Sean Boswell is no exception; he insults Tokyo's "Drift King" during their first meeting by comparing him to Justin Timberlake. By hanging around like a boyband, D.K.'s posse doesn't help his case, giving Sean's Y2K zinger the NSYNC comparison he needed to drive his point home. When Tokyo Drift first came out, the joke had the right audience, but if new or younger fans were to watch this scene, they would miss the joke. Additionally, it comes off as juvenile, especially since Sean was insulting a member of the Yakuza.
7 Roman: "Number Eleven My A**!"
Early on in The Fate of the Furious, Roman Pearce becomes ecstatic when he finds out his team is on the "top 10 most wanted" list; however, his excitement is short-lived when Mr. Nobody informs him that he is number 11. As odd as it sounds, especially since he's spent time in prison, Roman spends the rest of the movie trying to get on the list instead of avoiding law enforcement.
During a chase sequence across Russia's arctic plains, Roman's Lamborghini falls through the ice, and Tej drags him out. Holding onto nothing but the door of his car while being fired at, Roman shoots those chasing him. Feeling accomplished, he claims he should move up the list.
6 Hobbs: "You Just Earned Yourself A Dance With The Devil, Boy. You're Under Arrest."
At the DSS, Lucas "Luke" Hobbs returns to his office to find Deckard Shaw hacking into his computer and stealing files in Furious 7. When he catches Shaw, he states this low-budget action figure of a quote. Shaw asks about the team's whereabouts that hurt his younger brother, Owen.
After Shaw reveals his intentions, they get into a fight. Using Elena's appearance as leverage, Shaw throws a bomb that thrusts Hobbs and Elena out of the building and causes Hobbs tremendous injury, making this scene an action cliché.
5 Dom: "You Risk Life And Limb To Save The Free World, And What Does It Give You? Jello And A Bad '70s TV Show."
After the explosion Shaw created injures Hobbs, Dominic "Dom" Toretto visits him at the hospital in Furious 7. Dom's quote about the jello on the table and Lou Ferrigno's, The Incredible Hulk playing on the TV allows the audience to appreciate the development of the relationship between these two characters, considering how they started.
However, the wording of Dominic's concern colorfully contrasts the seriousness present in the rest of their conversation, making it sound a bit strange. Their continued discussion is rather dark, focusing on Hobbs asking Dom to kill Shaw.
4 Roman: "We Are Not Normal."
Amidst all the absurdity in the Fast & Furious series, sometimes sound reasoning stands out the most. In F9, Roman commented he and his teammates could not possibly be "normal" with all the stunts they pull. He suggested he and the others must have superpowers.
Ramsey and Tej seemed to contemplate Roman's claims, but that was short-lived. Tej immediately dismissed Roman's idea and made fun of him. Although brief, this discussion was a nod to the fans who often appreciate yet mock the ridiculousness of the saga.
Despite working together in Fast & Furious 6, Roman still mistrusts Hobbs for previously trying to catch his team and continues to take jabs at him. When Hobbs arrives at the Toretto house to pardon Dom's family for their crimes, Roman tells Mia to hide the baby oil.
Fans have speculated what this line means and have generated many possibilities. The open-ended nature of this quote makes it both weird and entertaining. In response, Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs) improvised, "You better hide that big-a** forehead," which elicited Ludacris's (Tej Parker) spit take, also unscripted. Together these elements made the scene one of the funniest in the movie.
2 Letty: "I Smell [sniffs] Sk*nks. Why Don't You Girls Just Pack It Up Before I Leave Tread Marks On Your Face."
In The Fast and the Furious, when Leticia "Letty" Ortiz pulls up to one of the races and finds women flirting with Dominic, she uses this line to scare them off. While Letty appears intimidating, fans can't help but laugh at the "ow" noise she makes before her threat and the sniff she takes in the middle.
Letty's words reflect how she had to toughen up to make it in the male-dominated world of cars and racing. It also highlights how those experiences shaped her interactions with other women.
1 Vince: "Bullsh*t, A**hole, No One Likes The Tuna Here!"
Vince is first introduced on-screen in The Fast and the Furious at the Toretto store trying to get Mia Toretto's attention. Vince picks a fight with Brian, who is becoming a frequent customer. Feeling that Mia favors Brian over him, Vince follows Brian out of the store and tells him to go to Fatburger instead, to which Brian replies, "I like the tuna here." Vince becomes enraged and provides the fans with one of the most absurd lines in the series and initiates a street fight.
